About The Position

Lifemark Health Group is seeking Clinical Psychologists to join their interdisciplinary teams at the Lifemark Meadowlark Centre in Edmonton, Alberta. This role involves delivering medical, psychological, psychosocial, and vocational rehabilitation services to eligible veterans, as well as clients referred by third-party funders like WCB and LTD. The clinic is a large interdisciplinary rehabilitation center offering psychological and physiotherapy services, conveniently located in Edmonton's west end with free parking. The team consists of over 50 skilled physicians and clinicians, providing a collaborative environment for treating complex cases using evidence-based methods.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. or Master’s Degree in Psychology from an accredited university.
  • Current registration in good standing with the provincial College of Alberta Psychologists – competency with adult populations.
  • Experience with evidence-based trauma-focused therapy is required (i.e., CBT, DBT, ACT, PE, CPT, EMDR).
  • Conducting psychological assessments with adults for treatment planning purposes.
  • Providing various evidence-based treatments grounded in cognitive-behavioral approaches.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Individual professional liability insurance required at time of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Clinical/counselling specialization in trauma, counselling psychology, or health/rehabilitation psychology.
  • Experience with trauma.
  • Formal training in diagnostic/formal assessments (MMPI-3, PAI).
  • Working in interdisciplinary teams and with third party payers.
  • Utilizing telehealth/virtual care methods.
  • Bilingual - French English.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver medical, psychological, psychosocial, and vocational rehabilitation services to eligible veterans.
  • Work with clients referred by third-party funders such as WCB (TPI program) and LTD.
  • Conduct psycho-diagnostic assessments.
  • Provide treatment strategies such as cognitive-behavioural therapy and biofeedback/relaxation techniques.
  • Incorporate education around breathing and pacing techniques to assist clients with individualized recovery plans.
  • Manage a diverse caseload within a dynamic work setting.
  • Complete required clinical documentation efficiently.
