About The Position

Greater Philadelphia Health Action, Inc. (GPHA) is a non-profit healthcare organization committed to providing compassionate and affordable healthcare services. Founded in 1970, GPHA has grown to be a leading provider of primary and behavioral healthcare in the Greater Philadelphia area. We are currently seeking 4 Consulting Psychologists for our Behavioral Healthcare Division. The Consulting Psychologist will conduct and/or provide psychological evaluations for clients, including psychological testing, mental status evaluations, psychosocial evaluations, and establishing appropriate DSM-V diagnoses. This role also involves providing consultation to clinical staff for the development of comprehensive treatment plans, adhering to GPHA/Al-Assist Behavioral Healthcare Center procedures and Pennsylvania Department of Health and Department of Public Welfare regulations.

Requirements

  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or Educational Psychology from an accredited university.
  • Two years of clinical experience.
  • One year of clinical experience in the field of Substance Use Disorders is preferred.
  • Possession of a psychologist license issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology or currently meets eligibility requirements for such licensure.
  • Valid Child Abuse (Act 33) clearance.
  • Valid Criminal History clearance.
  • Valid FBI clearance (when applicable).
  • Must complete all CBH mandatory in-services within three (3) months of hire and annually.
  • Must maintain active license and certifications in good standing (if applicable).
  • Must participate in at least 25 hours of documented additional continuing education units per year.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience, training and/or interest in Autistic Spectrum Disorders.
  • Experience, training and/or interest in Behavioral Intervention management.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts and/or provides psychological evaluations for GPHA, Inc. Al-Assist Behavioral Healthcare Center’s clients.
  • Performs psychological testing, mental status evaluations, and psychosocial evaluations.
  • Establishes appropriate DSM-V diagnoses.
  • Provides consultation to clinical staff in the development of comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Ensures compliance with GPHA/Al-Assist Behavioral Healthcare Center procedures and regulations of Pennsylvania Department of Health and Department of Public Welfare.
  • Maintains active license and certifications in good standing.
  • Participates in continuing education units.
  • Receives annual influenza vaccination.
  • Receives risk-based screening for Tuberculosis annually.
