About The Position

Provides counseling for individuals, couples, groups, career, and crisis counseling for the University community. May be required to work after hours and on call rotation. Ensures compliance with policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Ph.D or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.
  • One year of relevant experience.
  • Must be licensed or licensed eligible in the State of Tennessee as a Psychologist with Health Service Provider (HSP) designation.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to do tele-health psychology.
  • PSYCHPACT credential eligibility.

Responsibilities

  • Provides individual, couples, and group psychotherapy.
  • Provides triage walk-in coverage.
  • Maintains counseling records.
  • Administers, interprets psychological assessments and provides comprehensive integrative assessment reports.
  • Makes referrals.
  • Manages various administrative and organizational needs.
  • Provides presentations and outreach and prevention services for students, faculty, and staff.
  • Provides supervision for practicum students and doctoral psychology interns.
  • Consults with students, family, faculty, staff, and community members about students who evidence problems that may require psychological counseling and mental health services.
  • Provides after hour and on-call crisis intervention services.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
