About The Position

Lifemark Physiotherapy Sackville Sports Stadium is seeking Clinical Psychologists to join their interdisciplinary teams as the designated service provider for Partner in Canadian Veterans Rehabilitation Services (PCVRS). In this role, you will deliver medical, psychological, psychosocial, and vocational rehabilitation services to eligible veterans. In addition to working with veterans, the role involves providing mental health and rehabilitation treatment to clients recovering from motor vehicle accidents, work-related injuries (WCB), long-term disability, sports injuries, and all musculoskeletal conditions. The position offers the opportunity to provide top-quality, client-centered care utilizing formal assessment and treatment expertise, conduct psychological assessments for diverse needs including treatment planning and pre-employment screenings for high-risk occupations, and leverage digital therapeutics in practice. You will work alongside a supportive team of Psychologists, Psychotherapists, OTs, PTs, and other allied health professionals.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in Psychology from an accredited university.
  • Formal training in diagnostic / formal assessments (MMPI-3, PAI) is required.
  • Current registration in good standing with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology (competency with adult populations required; clinical designation required; counseling psychology, health/rehabilitation psychology, neuropsychology considered assets).
  • Individual professional liability insurance is required at the time of employment.
  • Conducting psychological assessments with adults for various goals, including treatment planning.
  • Providing various evidence-based treatments grounded in cognitive behavioral approaches.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work both autonomously and as part of interdisciplinary teams.
  • Efficient with required clinical documentation.
  • Able to manage a diverse caseload within a dynamic work setting.
  • Demonstrated work ethics, integrity, reliability, maturity, and flexibility.

Nice To Haves

  • Working in interdisciplinary teams and third-party payers is considered an asset.
  • Utilizing telehealth/virtual care methods is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Leveraging novel approaches to the delivery of mental health services, including adjunct digital therapeutics.
  • Delivering individual treatment for a wide range of presenting concerns, including anxiety, trauma, depression, somatic complaints, substance misuse, adjustment, and interpersonal issues.
  • Consulting with other mental health service team members and clinical interdisciplinary teams.
  • Contributing to in-house training sessions and interdisciplinary case discussions.
  • Contributing to program outcome evaluations at the provincial and national level.
  • Conducting psychological assessments for diverse needs, including treatment planning and pre-employment screenings for high-risk occupations.
  • Providing top-quality, client-centered care utilizing formal assessment and treatment expertise.
  • Leveraging digital therapeutics in practice.
