About The Position

This is a locum tenens position for a Psychologist in an outpatient clinic setting. The role involves facilitating group therapy sessions for an Invasive Outpatient Program (IOP), conducting individual therapy and assessments, and engaging in case management. The position is for 4 days a week, with flexible scheduling options, and requires collaboration within a small team to support patients with severe and acute mental health conditions.

Requirements

• Board Certified
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Hospital Association
• No candidates with pending licenses will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate group therapy sessions for Invasive Outpatient Program (IOP) on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:30 AM to approximately 2:00 PM.
• Collaborate within a small, focused team to run therapeutic groups, accommodating 10-12 patients with severe and acute mental health conditions, including bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and issues related to grief, trauma, and adjustment difficulties.
• Conduct individual follow-up sessions and therapy as needed, alongside initial intake assessments.
• Engage in case management to assist with transitioning patients to county healthcare services.
