About The Position
The Psychologist is involved in the development, implementation, evaluations, and monitoring of behavior treatment and training programs for individuals with significant intellectual and/or developmental disabilities who may have other handicapping conditions such as physical and/or psychiatric problems. The Psychologist will work under the supervision of a Licensed Psychologist and may also provide clinical and administrative supervision to other psychology paraprofessional staff.
Requirements
- Eligibility for licensure in North Carolina under the provisions of the NC Psychology Practice Act (G.S. 90-270).
Nice To Haves
- Experience with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred and applicants will also have experience addressing the psychological needs of individuals diagnosed with intellectual/developmental disabilities along with severe behavioral and emotional problems.
Responsibilities
- Completes psychological evaluations, functional assessments, and data analysis.
- Participates in interdisciplinary processes while maintaining compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
- Monitors restrictive programs, conduct staff training, and engage in direct client contact and therapy.
- Provides clinical and administrative supervision to psychology paraprofessional staff.
