As a Psychologist at FamilyForward, you will primarily provide comprehensive psychological evaluations for children and adolescents who have experienced developmental trauma (abuse/neglect) and provide recommendations and coaching for families and support systems. Utilizing a trauma-informed approach, you will engage families to increase family knowledge of positive parenting, improve relationships between children and caregivers, reduce mental health symptoms, and promote resiliency through psychoeducation, testing, and recommendations from the evaluation. You may also have opportunities to provide other therapeutic services, supervision, and program development within FamilyForward’s Developmental Trauma Center and other Agency sites. You’ll receive individual supervision and on-going peer supervision from other members of the Developmental Trauma Center staff. FamilyForward is committed to upholding the Organizational Health Anchors that we have set for the agency, including safety; mindfulness and self-regulation; relational health; cultural diversity; inclusivity, equity, and anti-racism; clinical lens; vicarious trauma and compassion fatigue.
