About The Position

The licensed or license-eligible psychologist in Oklahoma provides assessment, treatment, and consultation for individuals with behavioral health needs that may be associated with their health conditions. The psychologist is an essential member of an interdisciplinary team within OU Health and provides care across the health system, in an inpatient practice setting. The role also includes collaboration and consultation with healthcare professionals, supervision of psychology trainees, and potential participation in academic activities such as clinical research and education.

Requirements

• PhD or PsyD in Clinical Counseling or School Psychology from an APA-accredited doctoral program.
• Completion of an APA-accredited predoctoral internship.
• Specialized training in psychology, including a postdoctoral residency or fellowship.
• 0–3 years of experience, including postdoctoral training.
• Licensed as a psychologist in the State of Oklahoma.
• Eligible for a faculty appointment at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.
• Knowledge of evidence-based psychological assessment, intervention, and consultation.
• Interest in training and supervising trainees in psychology and other disciplines.
• Experience in research, program development, and/or quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality behavioral health services to patients with a variety of psychological and medical conditions within the OU Health system.
• Consult with healthcare professionals regarding the psychological aspects of patients’ mental health conditions, medical conditions, or hospitalizations.
• Attend and collaborate with healthcare professionals in team rounds, didactics, and meetings.
• Supervise psychology practicum students, interns, and post-doctoral residents.
• May participate in academic opportunities, including clinical research and education of trainees in psychology and other medical disciplines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
