About The Position

The licensed or license-eligible psychologist in Oklahoma provides care as part of OU Health’s interdisciplinary healthcare system. The role provides assessment, treatment, and consultation for individuals with behavioral health needs that may be associated with their health conditions. The practice setting includes inpatient and outpatient care, with a specialty in neurology and a subspecialty in addiction psychiatry.

Requirements

Doctorate (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Psychology.
Completion of an APA-accredited predoctoral internship.
Specialized training in psychology, including a postdoctoral residency or fellowship.
At least 5 years of experience, including postdoctoral training.
Licensed as a psychologist in the State of Oklahoma.
Eligible for faculty appointment at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.
Knowledge of evidence-based psychological assessment, intervention, and consultation.
Interest in training and supervising trainees in psychology and other disciplines.
Experience in research, program development, and/or quality improvement.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality behavioral health services to patients with a variety of psychological and medical conditions within the OU Health system.
Consult with other healthcare professionals about the psychological aspects of a patient’s mental health condition, medical condition, or hospitalization.
Attend and collaborate with healthcare professionals in team rounds, didactics, and meetings.
Supervise psychology practicum students, interns, and post-doctoral residents.
May participate in clinical research and education of trainees in psychology and other medical disciplines.
May participate in program development based on the needs of the clinical service.
Perform other duties as assigned.
