Psychologist - Sports Psychologist
About The Position
The Division of Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at The University of Kansas Health System is seeking applicants for a Sports Psychologist. This role will involve providing assessment, treatment, psychoeducation, and triage to outpatients within the Orthopedics Sports Medicine clinic and Kansas Team Health. The psychologist will participate in interdisciplinary team-based care, contribute to the professional education of psychology interns, fellows, practicum students, and medical trainees, and collaborate with other faculty in scholarly activities.
Requirements
- Doctorate Degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology from an APA or CPA accredited doctoral program (with an APA approved clinical internship).
- One-year relevant post-doctoral experience in sports psychology.
- Must be fully licensed or licensable in the State of Kansas (primary) and Missouri (PSYPACT is also helpful but not required) by the time of the appointment.

Responsibilities
- Provide assessment, treatment, psychoeducation, and triage to outpatients within the Orthopedics Sports Medicine clinic and Kansas Team Health.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team-based care within the Sports Medicine Clinic and Kansas Team Health.
- Participate in the professional education of psychology interns and fellow in our APA accredited programs, as well as psychology practicum students, and medical fellows, residents, and students.
- Collaborate with other faculty in scholarly activities.
