This position is responsible for providing behavioral health care within the scope of their license. The role involves completing psychosocial assessments, psychological testing, and developing treatment plans in collaboration with patients and a multidisciplinary team. The psychologist will deliver direct patient care through individual, family, or group therapy, provide crisis assessment and intervention, and coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and community agencies. Responsibilities also include discharge planning, referrals to community resources, participating in clinical collaboration and supervision, maintaining patient records, attending meetings, and contributing to performance improvement activities. The role requires adherence to all Mercy Health System, State, and TJC policies and regulations.
