About The Position

This is a Full-Time 40 Hours Weekly position with the Department of Social Services / Human Services Center. For more information on the Human Services Center, please visit https://dss.sd.gov. Requirements

A doctoral degree in clinical psychology, or candidacy in a doctoral program in clinical psychology, which leads to eligibility for licensure in the State of South Dakota.
Knowledge of inpatient mental health treatment
Knowledge of diagnosis and treatment of mental illness
Knowledge of evidence-based treatments
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and agencies
Knowledge of personnel management
Knowledge of individual psychotherapy
Knowledge of forensic evaluations
Knowledge of psychological evaluations assessing psychopathology, personality, intellectual ability, and cognitive functioning.
Ability to implement effective treatment programs
Ability to evaluate effectiveness of treatment approaches
Ability to manage administrative issues
Ability to communicate effectively with treatment team
Ability to problem-solve complex clinical situations
Ability to supervise effectively.

Responsibilities

Directs delivery of therapeutic care to ensure each patient receives individualized, quality care in the least restrictive environment and in compliance with all required regulations and standards.
Directs and assists staff in defining the objectives for individualized treatment plans to ensure that patients receive relevant and therapeutic treatment and quality care in an environment that enables them to achieve at their highest level.
Multidisciplinary treatment team consultation.
Ensure fidelity of evidenced based programming.
Supervision of master's level clinicians.
