About The Position

Marana Health is seeking a Psychologist (Adult & Pediatric) to join the Behavioral Health team at the Marana Main Health Center, located in the heart of Marana, AZ. The Psychologist at Marana Health provides high-quality, culturally responsive behavioral health services to patients across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, and adults. Practicing within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), this role supports an integrated, team-based model of care and works closely with primary care providers to address the behavioral health needs of a diverse and underserved population. The Psychologist is responsible for psychological assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, and may also be asked to facilitate Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC) services within the primary care setting to improve access and coordination of care. Marana Health is a Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC), with 11 sites in Tucson and Pima County. Requirements

  • Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology from an accredited program
  • Current, unrestricted license to practice psychology in the State of Arizona (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Professionals certification
  • Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety
  • Current Arizona driver’s license with clean driving record and proof of current vehicle insurance (39-month MVR will be run by MH)
  • Experience providing behavioral health services to both children/adolescents and adults
  • Training in evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT, trauma-informed care, brief interventions)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in integrated care, primary care, or community health settings
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred given patient population
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered if applicable and must be directly related to the functions and body of knowledge required to successfully perform the job.

Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based psychological assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for pediatric and adult patients
  • Deliver individual, family, and/or group therapy services using brief and long-term treatment models as appropriate
  • Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, including risk assessments and treatment planning
  • Collaborate closely with primary care providers and interdisciplinary team members to support integrated, whole-person care
  • Participate in warm handoffs and provide brief, solution-focused interventions in the primary care setting
  • May be asked to facilitate Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC) services within primary care clinics to support same-day access and population health initiatives
  • Provide crisis intervention, safety planning, and risk management as clinically indicated
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation in the electronic health record in accordance with FQHC standards
  • Support care coordination, including referrals to specialty mental health and community-based services
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to organizational goals related to access, engagement, and outcomes
  • Practice within a mission-driven FQHC serving rural and underserved communities in Southern Arizona
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary care team including medical, dental, and behavioral health providers
  • May provide services across multiple Marana Health clinic locations
  • Schedule may include a mix of scheduled therapy appointments and same-day/urgent access visits
  • Productivity expectations consistent with FQHC standards and access-to-care goals
