Requirements

  • Licensed as a Psychologist by the Arkansas State Board of Examiners in Psychology as established by ACA 17-97-302.
  • Licensed as a Professional Counselor (LPC) by the Board of Examiners in Counseling in accordance with ACA 17-27-301.
  • Licensed as a Master Social Worker by the Arkansas Social Work Licensing Board as required by ACA 17-103-306.
  • Licensed as a Licensed Certified Social Worker by the Social Work Licensing Board in accordance with ACA 17-103-306.
  • At least one (1) year of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
  • BLS Required but can obtain after being hired.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and score psychological tests, interpret and evaluate test results, and determine an individualized behavioral management/treatment program.
  • Provide psychological counseling, cognitive behavior and psychosocial skills instruction, and behavior modification/management recommendations.
  • Monitor behavior management and treatment programs, document progress or regression, modify programs, as necessary, and prepare and maintain progress reports on each client.
  • Ensure progress notes are prepared and maintained on each client.
  • Attend staff meetings and workshops scheduled to discuss progress/problems of clients and make recommendations regarding behavior management.
  • Upon request, conduct Phase I Training for all new employees and in-service training for direct care staff.
  • Upon request, supervise professional staff by interviewing, recommending for hire, assigning and reviewing work, training, and evaluating performance.
  • Conduct at least monthly visits, or more if needed, to each client’s living areas and/or prevocational training areas.
  • The Contractor shall document each visit and provide a monthly summary of all visits.
  • Perform other related duties assigned by the contracted Psychologist and adheres to the chain of supervision.
  • Conduct assessments as referred by BHDC.
  • Services to include after-hours/weekdays/holiday phone calls to address crisis interventions.
