About The Position

Iris Telehealth is seeking a passionate Psychiatrist (MD/DO) licensed in Massachusetts for a flexible, fully remote, part-time opportunity. This role involves providing high-quality outpatient psychiatric care to patients of all ages (ages 5+ preferred, comfortable treating ages 13+) in a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) setting. The position requires 20 hours per week with flexible scheduling options and offers the support of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, including experts in psychiatry, neurology, and psychology, along with robust administrative support. The primary diagnoses treated include depression, anxiety, autism spectrum disorder, bipolar disorder, complex psychopharmacology cases, and co-occurring SUD. Initial visits are 60 minutes, with 30-minute follow-ups. Providers will also have 15-30 minutes of administrative time daily and should be open to occasional cross-coverage for voluntary inpatient units. No on-call duties are required. The role emphasizes expanding access to mental health care and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Requirements

  • Completion of a 4-year ACGME-accredited Psychiatry residency.
  • Active Massachusetts medical license.
  • Availability for 24 hours per week during EST hours.
  • Experience and comfort treating patients 13+ across varying acuity levels.
  • Must reside in the U.S. or a U.S. territory.

  • Telehealth experience preferred.
  • Experience using Evolv a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide psychiatric care to patients of all ages (ages 5+ preferred, comfortable treating ages 13+) in an outpatient setting.
  • Treat patients with diagnoses including depression, anxiety, autism spectrum disorder, bipolar disorder, complex psychopharmacology cases, and co-occurring SUD.
  • Conduct initial psychiatric visits (60 minutes) and follow-up appointments (30 minutes).
  • Engage in 15-30 minutes of administrative tasks daily.
  • Be open to occasional cross-coverage for voluntary inpatient units during PTO or unexpected absences.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of experts in psychiatry, neurology, and psychology.
  • Focus on delivering impactful patient care with the support of dedicated administrative staff for documentation and prior authorizations.
