Samaritan Daytop Village is a leading human services organization in New York State serving over 38,000 New Yorkers annually across more than 60 locations through Transitional Housing, Community Based Services, and Residential and Outpatient programs. First Steps Intensive Crisis Stabilization Center (ICSC), operated by Samaritan Daytop Village in Rockland County, is a 24/7 program dually licensed by OMH and OASAS to provide rapid, short-term support for children ages 5+ and adults in mental health or substance use crisis. Our multidisciplinary team utilizes a trauma-informed, harm-reduction framework to stabilize individuals and connect them with long-term care while avoiding unnecessary emergency room visits. We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Psychiatrist at our Rockland Integrated Crisis Stabilization Center (ICSC). In this critical role, you will perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, manage complex withdrawal protocols, and oversee medication-assisted treatments (MOUD) for individuals in crisis. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will exercise independent medical judgment to develop disposition plans, manage co-occurring disorders, and ensure compliance with OMH/OASAS standards. This position is ideal for a dedicated MD or DO with a strong background in emergency psychiatry or addiction medicine who is passionate about serving diverse, underserved populations in a fast-paced, trauma-informed environment.
