About The Position

Centurion Health is seeking a full-time Psychiatrist to join the team at State Correctional Institution-Waymart in Waymart, PA. This role involves 40 hours per week, with a potential mix of on-site and telehealth coverage. Centurion Health is a leading provider of comprehensive healthcare services to correctional facilities nationwide and has been providing mental healthcare services to the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections since 2003. The position offers the opportunity to work with a clinically rich and diverse patient population, allowing for focused patient care, progress tracking, and effective follow-up. The Psychiatrist will be responsible for psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment, working under the supervision of the Psychiatric Medical Director, and providing clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team serving patients with psychiatric disorders and other mental health issues.

Requirements

• MD or DO.
• Active, unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license and DEA.
• BE/BC by the ABPN.
• All qualified applicants are required to successfully complete a security clearance process as required by the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections.

Responsibilities

• Provides psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis and treatment for patients.
• Works under the supervision of the Psychiatric Medical Director.
• Provides clinical leadership for a multidisciplinary team in providing mental health services to patients with psychiatric disorders or other mental health issues.
