About The Position

Wellfound is hiring a full-time Psychiatrist to join our dynamic inpatient medical team. Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital is a 120-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital located in Tacoma, Washington. We are Department of Health and Joint Commission accredited. We are an acute care psychiatric hospital providing care to both voluntary and involuntary patients. Requirements

MD/DO degree from an accredited institution.
Successful completion of a residency program in Psychiatry, approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association.
Current Washington state medical license.
Current valid DEA license
BE/BC in Psychiatry: current certification or active participation in the examination process leading to certification in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry
Current Basic Life Support card through American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Responsibilities

Providing high quality, efficient and effective specialized psychiatric care that is evidence based and trauma-informed, in accordance with Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital standards and guidelines, as well as with applicable statutory requirements and accepted clinical practices for the medical profession of psychiatry.
Admitting, attending, discharging and consulting on patients following established protocols as determined by Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital medical governance and bylaws.
Providing direct patient care that respects the patient’s unique values and needs by examining, diagnosing and analyzing the patient’s total health condition and developing short- and long-term treatment goals and plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and with each patient and/or their care designee(s).
