Psychiatrist - Outpatient
About The Position
A thriving health care delivery system is seeking a Psychiatrist to work in Tampa, FL! This is a full-time, permanent position in an outpatient, primary care-based setting. The Psychiatrist will provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, medication management, and ongoing treatment. This role involves close collaboration with primary care providers, behavioral health clinicians, and interdisciplinary care teams to deliver coordinated, patient-centered mental healthcare. The position supports the Patient-Centered Medical Home model, focusing on continuity of care, access, symptom stabilization, and long-term outcomes.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- If Board Eligible, certification to be obtained within (3) years of employment
- Current and valid DEA Registration Certificate
- Active Florida state licensure or pending
Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric evaluations
- Conduct diagnostic assessments
- Perform medication management
- Provide ongoing treatment
- Work closely with primary care providers, behavioral health clinicians, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Deliver coordinated, patient-centered mental healthcare
- Support the Patient-Centered Medical Home model
