About The Position
Liberty Healthcare Corporation is seeking a part-time remote Psychiatrist for its specialized forensic mental health program. This program serves justice-involved adults who have been determined to be incompetent to stand trial due to mental illness. The program's goal is to provide rapid mental health services to improve behavioral health outcomes. Services are delivered to adult inmates in county jail facilities across San Diego, San Bernardino, Riverside, and San Mateo Counties.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO).
- Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.
- Active medical license in California (or ability to obtain one).
- Experience in forensic psychiatry or working with justice-involved populations is preferred.
- Proficiency in telepsychiatry platforms and electronic health records.

Responsibilities
- Provide short-term psychiatric treatment to adults remotely via telepsychiatry.
- Assess patients, formulate diagnoses, and prescribe medications.
- Conduct risk assessments.
- Participate in case conferences and team meetings.
