About The Position

We are seeking a Psychiatrist for a Locum Tenens position in St. Louis, MO. This role involves providing inpatient psychiatric care, including conducting evaluations, managing treatment plans, and administering pharmacotherapy. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with one weekend of rounding per month. The average daily patient volume is 16-18. The facility utilizes the Epic EMR system and has support staff including RNs and 2 PAs/NPs. This is a clinical-only role covering supplemental needs on an ongoing basis, with travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered.

Requirements

• Board Eligible (must obtain certification within 5 years of residency)
• Licensed in MO or Universal License (IMLC)
• BLS certification
• Epic experience required
• Experience with Anxiety disorders
• Experience with Affective disorder
• Experience with ADD/ADHD
• Experience with Personality disorders
• Experience with Eating disorders
• Experience with Development disorders
• Experience with Psychotic disorders
• Experience with Organic disorders
• Experience with Involuntary commitments
• Experience with Seclusion therapy
• Experience with Restraint application
• Experience with Pharmacotherapy

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient psychiatric care to assigned patients
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and manage treatment plans
• Administer pharmacotherapy and other therapeutic interventions
• Participate in weekend rounding as scheduled (1 weekend per month)
• Document patient encounters in Epic EMR
