About The Position

Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH) is seeking a compassionate, dedicated Psychiatrist to join their Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) in Statesville, NC. This part-time role involves 24 hours per week, focusing on providing psychiatric care to individuals with serious mental illness and substance use challenges. The Psychiatrist will be a clinical leader, working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centered, community-based services aimed at promoting stability, recovery, and independence.

Requirements

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) with an active, unrestricted NC license
• Board Certification in Psychiatry
• 5+ years experience treating individuals with mental illness
• Expertise in treating serious mental illness, including: Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Bipolar I Disorder with Psychosis
• A heart for community-based care and a commitment to recovery-centered practice

Nice To Haves

• ASAM certification or eligibility preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management
• Deliver outpatient psychotherapy in community settings
• Utilize evidence-based and emerging best practices in psychiatric care
• Ensure coordination between mental health, substance use, and primary healthcare services
• Consult with primary care providers to support comprehensive health needs
• Guide and support ACT team members in clinical decision-making
