About Enterhealth Enterhealth is a leader in behavioral health and integrative medicine, providing comprehensive care for substance use disorders, mental health conditions, and co-occurring medical needs. Our approach combines evidence-based psychiatric care with whole-person wellness and recovery support to improve outcomes and sustain long-term healing. We are seeking a compassionate and collaborative Psychiatrist to join our outpatient team and support individuals navigating mental health and substance use recovery. CONTRACT: 30 Hours per week. Immediate. Position Overview The Outpatient Psychiatrist provides diagnostic evaluation, medication management, and ongoing psychiatric care for adults with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders. This role works closely with therapists, medical providers, and care coordinators to ensure continuity of care and support recovery-focused treatment. This position is ideal for a physician who values collaborative care, patient-centered treatment, and a balanced outpatient schedule.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry
- Active Texas medical license (or eligibility)
- DEA registration with Texas prescriptive authority
- Experience treating mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and co-occurring conditions
Nice To Haves
- Experience in addiction medicine or substance use treatment
- Experience in outpatient or intensive outpatient settings
- Interest in integrative or holistic approaches to mental health care
Responsibilities
- Psychiatric Evaluation & Treatment Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and diagnostic evaluations
- Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with recovery goals
- Provide medication management and monitor treatment effectiveness
- Manage co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
- Collaborative Care Partner with therapists, case managers, and medical providers to coordinate care
- Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews and treatment planning
- Provide clinical guidance to care teams as appropriate
- Patient Safety & Quality Care Monitor risk factors and provide crisis intervention when needed
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and clinical documentation standards
- Support continuity of care and transitions between levels of treatment
