About Enterhealth Enterhealth is a leader in behavioral health and integrative medicine, providing comprehensive care for substance use disorders, mental health conditions, and co-occurring medical needs. Our approach combines evidence-based psychiatric care with whole-person wellness and recovery support to improve outcomes and sustain long-term healing. We are seeking a compassionate and collaborative Psychiatrist to join our outpatient team and support individuals navigating mental health and substance use recovery. CONTRACT: 30 Hours per week. Immediate. Position Overview The Outpatient Psychiatrist provides diagnostic evaluation, medication management, and ongoing psychiatric care for adults with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders. This role works closely with therapists, medical providers, and care coordinators to ensure continuity of care and support recovery-focused treatment. This position is ideal for a physician who values collaborative care, patient-centered treatment, and a balanced outpatient schedule.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry
  • Active Texas medical license (or eligibility)
  • DEA registration with Texas prescriptive authority
  • Experience treating mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and co-occurring conditions

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in addiction medicine or substance use treatment
  • Experience in outpatient or intensive outpatient settings
  • Interest in integrative or holistic approaches to mental health care

Responsibilities

  • Psychiatric Evaluation & Treatment Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and diagnostic evaluations
  • Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with recovery goals
  • Provide medication management and monitor treatment effectiveness
  • Manage co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
  • Collaborative Care Partner with therapists, case managers, and medical providers to coordinate care
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews and treatment planning
  • Provide clinical guidance to care teams as appropriate
  • Patient Safety & Quality Care Monitor risk factors and provide crisis intervention when needed
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and clinical documentation standards
  • Support continuity of care and transitions between levels of treatment
