PRN / Weekend Psychiatrist - Jacksonville FL
About The Position
Ally Psychiatry is seeking a PRN/Weekend Psychiatrist to provide inpatient psychiatric care in Jacksonville, Florida. This is an excellent opportunity for a psychiatrist looking for flexible weekend work, supplemental income, or a part-time commitment without a full-time schedule. The position involves evaluating and treating adult and geriatric psychiatric patients, conducting consultations, developing treatment plans, providing medication management, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary treatment team. The role also includes clinical supervision and support for midlevel providers and participation in discharge planning.
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Active Florida medical license
- DEA registration
- Strong clinical and communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Inpatient psychiatry experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat adult and geriatric psychiatric patients
- Conduct psychiatric consultations and follow-up evaluations
- Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans
- Provide medication management
- Collaborate with nursing, therapists, social workers, and other members of the treatment team
- Provide clinical supervision and support to midlevel providers
- Participate in discharge planning and coordination of ongoing care
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Psychiatric consultations and evaluations
- Medication management and treatment planning
- Supervision and collaboration with PMHNPs and other clinical staff
