About The Position

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. We are currently seeking a part-time Psychiatrist at the Metropolitan Transition Center (BCBIC) in Baltimore, Maryland. This is a part-time outpatient day shift position, working 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday). The Psychiatrist provides psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients. They work under the supervision of the Psychiatric Medical Director and provide clinical leadership for a multidisciplinary team in delivering mental health services to patients with psychiatric disorders or other mental health issues. Centurion Health contracts with state and local governments nationwide to provide comprehensive healthcare services to correctional facilities, state hospitals, and other community settings. Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school required.
  • Active and unrestricted MD/DO license or the ability to obtain one required.
  • Board Certified/Eligible in Psychiatry.
  • Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and (CDS) registration.
  • Ability to pass credentialing and background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Correctional Healthcare experience preferred not required.
