About The Position

McCallum Place Eating Disorder Center is seeking to add a PRN Psychiatrist to their team. McCallum Place is a nationally acclaimed, comprehensive eating disorder treatment center for pre-adolescents, adolescents, adults, and athletes of all genders. The St. Louis, Missouri location offers on-site medical and psychiatric management combined with intensive individualized psychotherapy, integrating personalized nutritional support and best practices. The facility is designed to create an environment of structure and support for restoration and healing.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) REQUIRED
• Licensed in the state in which the practitioner will be working
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in psychiatry
• Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working

Nice To Haves

• One or more years’ post graduate degree practice preferred
• Eating disorder experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Evaluate psychiatric stability of patients and determine the necessary level of care.
• Collaborating and oversight with Nurse Practitioners level of care for each patient.
• Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
• Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and collaborate with onsite medical provider for recommendations.
• Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders.
• Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
• Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.
• Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.
