About The Position
Responsible for delivery of direct psychiatric and medical care within the Agency, as assigned, to specific services, programs and groups. Special Working Conditions: Exposure to consumers and all possible program emergencies and conditions; to possible irregular and on-call working hours; to a variety of work locations as the need arises.
Requirements
- Graduation from a recognized school of medicine
- One year of internship in an approved hospital
- Successful completion of three years of residency in psychiatry
- Five years of experience in the practice of psychiatric medicine
- One year of experience in association with a community mental health program
- Must be able to sit, twist, bend and stand for long periods.
- Must be able to transport self from building to building and differing locations.
- Must be able to communicate orally and in writing.
Nice To Haves
- Professional recognition and board certification in the field of psychiatric medicine is desirable.
