This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health, Catawba Community Mental Health Center (CCMHC), 205 Piedmont Blvd, Suite 100, Rock Hill, SC 29732. As the Psychiatrist, working under the limited supervision of the Catawba Community Mental Health Center (CCMHC) Medical Director, you will provide psychiatric services to the Center's patients, performs professional duties requiring analysis of a broad spectrum of medically related problems. Plan various interrelated medical activities within the facility; responsible for medically related administrative functions in the clinic.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice medicine in South Carolina.
• Completion of full residency (4 years) in psychiatry.
• Three (3) years; experience in a psychiatric program, two (2) of which must have been in Community Mental Health Services.
• Ability to lift five (5) pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Board Certified in Psychatry.
• Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
• Be able to pass CPR and Managing Agitation in the Psychiatric Setting (MAPS) Certification.
• Be able to operate a state vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the need for, plan and provide psychiatric treatment for outpatient and emergency services for the patients of CCMHC during normal work week.
• Consult and collaborate with staff (case managers and therapists) in formal (SPD, treatment teams), as well as informal settings.
• Assist Medical Director and Executive Director in assuring that clinical staff receive appropriate clinical supervision.
• Assist staff with training and acts as a community liaison with the local medical community.
• Meet with appropriate clinical supervisor(s) to review clinical and administrative needs of the clinic.
• Provide supervision and guidance to Nurse Practitioner as needed.
• Perform all job duties and provide all services and documentation in compliance with CARF, OMH, CCMHC, Quality Assurance, Compliance, HIPAA, Transcultural and Productivity Standards, Policies and Procedures.
