Requirements

• Active and unrestricted Physician (MD or DO) license in the State of Florida
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Psychiatry
• Active DEA registration and controlled substance prescribing authority
• 3+ years of psychiatry experience preferred
• Experience treating a broad range of psychiatric and mental health conditions across diverse patient populations
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and medication management skills
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient engagement abilities
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative clinical environment
• Commitment to ethical patient care, professionalism, and regulatory compliance

Nice To Haves

• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems preferred
• Spanish language skills preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, establish diagnoses, and develop individualized treatment plans based on patient history, clinical presentation, and evidence-based practices
• Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications while evaluating treatment effectiveness, side effects, and patient response
• Provide ongoing psychiatric care through follow-up visits, psychotherapy interventions when appropriate, crisis management, and coordination of care
• Work closely with therapists, nurse practitioners, medical assistants, and administrative staff to support continuity of care and positive patient outcomes
• Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough clinical documentation in compliance with Florida regulations, HIPAA, organizational standards, and applicable healthcare guidelines
• Assess and manage psychiatric risk factors including suicidality, homicidality, substance use, and acute psychiatric crises while implementing appropriate interventions and escalation protocols
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and available resources while fostering a supportive and therapeutic environment
• Support organizational quality initiatives, maintain ethical standards of care, and participate in ongoing clinical collaboration and professional development
• Maintain active licensure, DEA registration, and compliance with all applicable federal and Florida state regulations governing psychiatric practice
• Support additional clinical and operational responsibilities as needed to ensure high-quality patient care and clinic operations
