About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking a Psychiatrist - Outpatient to join the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Gotham Health, East New York. Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
  • Active New York State Medical License.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care to patients referred or assigned to the Substance Use Disorders (SUD) outpatient team, including best practices for medication management, appropriate and timely care, and comprehensive documentation.
  • Complete psychiatric admission assessment, with a focus on comprehensive risk assessment for all new intakes, and re-assessment of patients, in a timely fashion consistent with policy.
  • Complete treatment plan documentation consistent with policy and appropriate to patient's risk level.
  • Partner with interdisciplinary team members to review and approve care plans.
  • Facilitate clinical partnerships and referrals within the system and to other Gotham sites.
  • Provide supervisory oversight to clinical team members, including but not limited to Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners and Psychologists.
  • May participate in and/or facilitate collaborative case conference, team meeting, and high-risk patient committees for review of quality of care and guidance towards best-practices.
  • Must provide late evening and weekend coverage as part of the standard scheduling rotation.
