About The Position
Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking a part-time Psychiatrist for the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi. Jacobi Medical Center is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center known for its leadership in emergency medicine, trauma surgery, burn care, pediatrics, primary care, and women’s health. The hospital has a strong academic affiliation with Albert Einstein College of Medicine. The mission of NYC Health + Hospitals is to provide comprehensive, high-quality health services to all New Yorkers with compassion, dignity, and respect, regardless of their ability to pay. This position can be made full-time by combining with a 0.4 FTE in CPEP or Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry (Fellowship training required for Consultation-Liaison).
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Active New York State Medical License
Nice To Haves
- Fellowship training will be required for Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry if combining with that role.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the team leader and multidisciplinary team, providing direct clinical care for a cohort of ACT patients.
- Develop treatment plans, monitor progress, and adjust as needed.
- Participate in innovative integrative care activities.
- Provide crisis intervention as needed.
- Supervise Nurse Practitioners and collaborate with other clinical staff on the ACT Team.
