About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking a part-time Psychiatrist - Assertive Community Treatment to join the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi. Jacobi Medical Center is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center known for its leadership in emergency medicine, trauma surgery, burn care, pediatrics, primary care, and women’s health. The hospital maintains an academic affiliation with Albert Einstein College of Medicine. The mission of NYC Health + Hospitals is to provide comprehensive, high-quality health services to all New Yorkers with compassion, dignity, and respect, regardless of their ability to pay. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, provide direct clinical care, develop treatment plans, and offer crisis intervention. The role also includes supervising Nurse Practitioners and collaborating with other clinical staff on the ACT Team. This position can be made full-time by combining with a 0.6 FTE in CPEP or Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry (Fellowship training will be required for Consultation-Liaison).

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Active New York State Medical License

Nice To Haves

• Fellowship training will be required for Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry if combining with 0.6 FTE in CPEP or Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry to make the position full-time.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team leader and multidisciplinary team, providing direct clinical care for a cohort of ACT patients.
• Develop treatment plans, monitor progress, and adjust as needed.
• Participate in innovative integrative care activities.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Supervise Nurse Practitioners and collaborate with other clinical staff on the ACT Team.
