About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking a Psychiatrist - Addiction Services to join the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. This role involves providing clinical care in an outpatient addiction clinic and opioid treatment program. The position is based at a redesigned healthcare campus featuring a new hospital and a Health & Wellness Institute. The hospital has strong academic affiliations with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine. Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry Required.
  • Active New York State Medical License.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical care for patients in the outpatient addiction clinic and opioid treatment program.
  • Diagnose substance use disorders and non-substance related addiction disorders and recommend treatment that considers levels of care criteria.
  • Assist medical leadership with Quality Assurance and Process Improvement projects as needed.
  • Teach and train fellows, residents, and medical students rotating on addiction services, as well as preparing didactic presentations as needed.

Benefits

  • Annual Base Salary: $267,900 (board eligible); $278,200 (board certified) based on 40-hour work week.
  • Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $104,000.
  • Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
  • 401(k) Company Contribution: Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings.
