About The Position

Centurion is seeking a full-time Psychiatric Technician to join their team at the Idaho Maximum Security Institution in Kuna, Idaho. This role is part of the mental health team and involves leading daily activities for patients, including hygiene, social skills, and recreational activities within the Acute Mental Health Unit. The Psychiatric Technician will monitor, model, and teach effective behaviors to improve patient lives, work within a multidisciplinary team, and document and report significant changes in patient functioning. The role also includes opportunities to assist in facilitating group therapeutic sessions and psychoeducational groups. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalency.
Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.

Nice To Haves

Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in the social sciences i.e. psychology, social work, or counseling or related field.
Experience working in a correctional mental health setting.

Responsibilities

Lead daily activities with patients including proper hygiene, social skills, and recreational activities within the Acute Mental Health Unit.
