Psychiatric Technician - Elementary/Middle School IOP
About The Position
Aris Clinic is a behavioral health practice located in Woodbury, MN. Our mission is to help patients achieve healthy, stable, and productive lives. The clinic offers outpatient services including psychiatry, therapy, and intensive outpatient programming for kids and their families struggling with emotional and behavioral health issues that cause significant difficulties in their families, schools, and/or communities. Common feelings and behaviors we address: Depression, Anxiety, Mood Dysregulation, Opposition, Anger, Suicidal Thinking, Self-Injury, Social Struggles, School Avoidance, Technology Addiction. Our patient outcomes have afforded patients greater success in school/work, stronger and healthier relationships, the ability to function with appropriate boundaries, improved social awareness, and better coping skills in difficult situations. We are currently recruiting for a full-time Psychiatric Technician working as part of our intensive outpatient program for children and adolescents ranging in age from 8 - 13. In this role you will monitor patients, facilitate structured groups, and complete administrative duties as part of the Intensive Outpatient Program.
Requirements
- Professional and energetic candidate
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Understands the importance of patient care
- Computer savvy
- Basic understanding of psychiatry principles
- College degree required
Nice To Haves
- EHR experience preferred
- Preference for a pre-med, psychology, or related major
- Experience in a medical office, or equivalent education preferred
- Prior experience with children or adolescents in a care setting a plus
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients
- Facilitate structured groups
- Complete administrative duties
- Work as part of the intensive outpatient program team for arrival, dismissal, group facilitation
- Monitor for patient safety
- Work alongside providers
- Accurately document into the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system
- Help to maintain efficient patient flow in a fast-paced environment
- Respond to patient inquiries
- Other duties as assigned
