Shady Grove Medical Center is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Technician for its Float Pool II in Behavioral Health. The role supports the organization’s mission to provide physical, mental, and spiritual healing. The technician facilitates patient-professional collaboration, monitors therapeutic treatment, and helps create a care-team setting that values differences and encourages sharing opinions. Holiday rotation is required. The position is eligible for a shift differential and is classified as non-exempt under the FLSA. Adventist HealthCare offers nonrotating shifts, recognition and rewards for professional expertise, a 403(b) retirement plan, free employee parking, and Employee Assistance Program support. The organization strongly recommends full COVID-19 vaccination before employment and may require proof. Applicants who use nicotine or test positive for nicotine or drug use will not be hired; the posting specifies that positive cotinine or marijuana tests result in withdrawal of an offer, with an opportunity to reapply after 90 days subject to stated conditions.
