About The Position

Adult Psychiatric Units I and II provide care for adult patients (ages 18–50) experiencing acute mental health needs. Each unit includes 21 beds, divided into two wings: a 14-bed lower acuity wing and a 7-bed higher acuity wing, allowing for tailored, patient-centered care. These units are built around a strong commitment to safety and creating a supportive, therapeutic environment that promotes healing and mental wellness. Staff play a vital role in fostering stability, trust, and recovery for patients during vulnerable moments in their lives.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must obtain department specific certifications within the designated time frame

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in psychology or related field
  • Previous experience with mental health or age specific population
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exhibits valuable time management skills
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff.
  • Obtains information on patient condition as requested by the nursing staff, and reports any changes in patient condition.
