About The Position

Under the supervision of the program director for the Transitional Living Facility, the social worker will provide clinical functions which include admission and discharge functions, assessments, case management duties, consultation, implementation of treatment programs, implementations of treatment plan assignments, and linkage with community resources to ensure consumers meet targeted treatment and community integration goals. Performs related duties as required. Mandatory overtime is an essential function of this position. Applicants selected for employment must complete a chemical urinalysis & breath analysis drug screening test. Applicant must successfully complete a background check. All employees are subject to drug testing for probable cause as set forth in bureau and agency policies. This is a tobacco-free facility.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Social Work from an accredited college or university
• Bachelor's degree in Sociology, Psychology, Counseling, or Criminal Justice from an accredited college or university
• Bachelor's degree in a related field, as determined and approved by the West Virginia Board of Social Work
• Obtain a Social Work License or Temporary Social Work License prior to beginning employment
• Provide a valid eligibility determination from the West Virginia Board of Social Work for a Provisional Social Work License
• Must be determined eligible for a Provisional License and request an Eligibility Application
• Upon hiring, must obtain an approved licensing supervisor and return the Provisional License Agreement to the Board
• After approval and payment of the license fee, may be issued a Provisional License
