The psychiatric provider will provide behavioral health care services to both children and adults in an integrated care center. This role involves providing outpatient care to patients experiencing changes or declines in mental status. The provider will work independently within a medical or behavioral health team, with approved clinical privileges. They will participate in an interdisciplinary team offering primary care, dental, and behavioral health services. Responsibilities include performing patient histories and physicals, risk factor assessments, ordering diagnostic tests, and attending consultations. The provider will prescribe medications according to clinic policy and state regulations, and consult with physicians on cases outside their scope of practice. They will maintain patient data in medical records, provide healthcare education to patients and families, and ensure smooth communication with other health professionals. Additionally, the role involves providing consultation to nursing and medical staff for holistic patient care improvement and clinically relevant supervision to other psychiatric providers and social workers, including completing annual employee evaluations and managing corrective actions with the Chief Clinical Officer. The provider will also offer onsite behavioral health guidance to staff in the Chief Clinical Officer's absence.
