About The Position

PrimeCare Medical Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic and hard-working Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as the Psychiatric Nurse in the Medical Department at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in Eagleville, PA. This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday-Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm. The hourly rate is $45.00.

Requirements

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Clinical decision-making ability is required.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to function independently and demonstrating clinical competency.
• Ability to gain trust of patients and build a working relationship.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the clinical monitoring, coordinating, and implementing of the mental health program in accordance with NCCHC/ACA Standards and PCM policies and procedures.
• Serve as the PCM mental health liaison between the medical unit, facility staff, and psychiatric/psychological services outside the facility.
• Facilitates admission and placement of inmates/patients in forensic and community Mental Health facilities.
• Monitors all psychiatric/psychological services provided.
• Monitor the standards of care in accordance with NCCHC and accepted psychiatric/ psychological standards.
• Is a member of the Quality Assurance Committee.
• Develops and conducts in-service education programs according to annual in-service calendar.
