About The Position

Horizon House, Inc. is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse to provide services within community mental health and substance abuse facilities. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of psychiatric clinical and psychosocial rehabilitation practices. The position involves frequent talking and listening, and may require verbal crisis intervention assistance in emergency situations. The nurse must be available for scheduled emergency on-call service, local travel, and possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Scheduling flexibility and possible on-call work are necessary, and the individual may be required to report to work during emergencies, including inclement weather.

Requirements

• Board Certified Licensed RN/LPN in the State of PA.
• Prior experience in servicing community mental health & Substance Abuse facilities and their needs.
• Comprehensive knowledge of psychiatric clinical and psychosocial rehabilitation practices.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Team oriented.
• Very strong organization and analytical skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Must be available for scheduled emergency on-call service.
• Must be available for local travel.
• Possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Scheduling flexibility and possible on-call work are necessary.
• May be required to report to work during emergencies including inclement weather.
