About The Position

Devereux Arizona’s Residential Treatment Center (RTC) is a beautiful 24-hour, 10-acre campus located in the heart of Scottsdale. The RTC is a safe, supportive environment that provides various services to youth, from the ages of 7 to 17, who are experiencing emotional, behavioral, or substance abuse challenges. The Campus features dormitories, a therapeutic K-12 day school, food services, medical/nursing, and therapy services. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide direct daily medical management for our adolescent population, as well as provide, review, and follow-up with medical providers as to the effectiveness and/or possible side effects noted of medications administered. This position provides supervision regarding safety issues/crisis intervention for the campus population, infection control protocols, and general medical management. The RN will maintain effective communication with all departments involved with direct care and will provide education/training of direct care personnel involved with the Medication Technician Certification Program at the Group Home Level.

Requirements

  • Current valid RN license to practice in Arizona with no restrictions required
  • Associate's Degree from an accredited school of nursing required
  • Six (6) months nursing experience required
  • Must attend mandatory two (2) weeks of paid New Hire Orientation: Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm, followed by on the job training
  • Must be 21 years of age or older (per licensing standards)
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License & pass DMV 36-month history check
  • Pre-employment Physical and Job Demand Assessment (if applicable)
  • Drug test within 24hrs of offer w/ negative results
  • Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions ( OR eligibility to obtain with no restrictions).

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Previous behavioral health experience with children/adolescents or pediatric nursing preferred
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and multitasking skills

Responsibilities
