Resources for Human Development (RHD) is seeking a compassionate and experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about helping children, adolescents, and adults achieve improved mental health and overall well-being. Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Nurse Practitioner Certification (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner preferred or as required)
- Current DEA Registration
- Current CPR Certification
- ACLS and PALS Certifications
- Minimum one year of experience in a community clinic or similar healthcare setting

Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing mental health treatment.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, mental health assessments, and comprehensive health histories.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications within established clinical guidelines.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and medications.
- Provide therapeutic support and counseling when appropriate.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Maintain progress notes in accordance with Medicaid, Medicare, and agency requirements.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, licensing, and quality standards.
- Utilize appropriate coding and billing practices.
- Partner with psychiatrists, therapists, primary care providers, and community resources.
- Coordinate care among internal and external treatment providers.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist with prescription refills, prior authorizations, and continuity of care efforts.
