About The Position

Urban Behavioral Associates (UBA) is hiring Nurse Practitioners as Prescribers to partner with counselors and therapists to support clients during their mental health journey. Prescribers will create the medication plan while the counselors and therapists provide therapy. UBA is a full-service mental health and wellness company established in 1994, striving to help individuals reach their full wellness potential through various therapeutic approaches and medical management.

Requirements

• Nurse Practitioner License in any of the 50 states or D.C.
• Recent Psychiatric experience or a certified PMHNP
• NPI (for new grads we can extend an offer contingent on obtaining the NPI)
• DEA license
• Board certification (AANP or ANCC)
• Computer literate
• Advanced knowledge of multiple software systems (Slack, Google Suite, Doxy.me, etc.), or be comfortable learning them quickly.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.
• Licensed in Maryland without restriction
• Basic computer skills are necessary to work with electronic health record
• Excellent interpersonal skills required, organized, compassionate and insightful

Nice To Haves

• Experience with DoseSpot is a huge plus.
• 1 year of recent psychiatric experience (Preferred)
• 1 year of Telemedicine experience (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Create medication plans for clients.
• Partner with counselors and therapists to support clients.
• Prescribe for anxiety, depression, insomnia, bipolar 2, and ADHD.
• Prescribe controlled substances when medically appropriate.
