About The Position
We are seeking a licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP/PNCP) to provide high-quality, integrated behavioral health services. The ideal candidate will diagnosis, treat, and manage mental health conditions while collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team in a patient-centered medical home environment.
Requirements
- Graduate degree in Psychiatric Nursing
- Certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP or PNCP)
- Active Montana APRN license (or eligibility)
- Current DEA license with prescriptive authority
- Valid Montana driver's license
- Strong knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria
- Experience with behavioral health screening tools and assessments
- Understanding of: Motivational interviewing
- Understanding of: Case management principles
- Understanding of: OSHA and HIPAA compliance
- Understanding of: Immunization standards
- Familiarity with community mental health resources
- Excellent clinical documentation and reporting skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset
Nice To Haves
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
- Experience in integrated behavioral health or primary care setting
Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients across the lifespan
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
- Conduct mental health assessments and document treatment plans
- Monitor patient progress and medication outcomes
- Order and interpret laboratory tests
- Deliver patient and family education on mental health conditions and treatments
- Collaborate with primary care providers, medical director, and behavioral health team
- Coordinate care and provide referrals to community resources
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support integrated care delivery within a behavioral health and primary care setting
