About The Position

Caring Therapists of Broward is seeking a full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join their group practice in Orlando. The practice is a collaborative environment for clinicians. The role involves working with adults and children (ages 4-18) and requires flexibility in working afternoons, evenings, and weekends. The position is structured as a commission-based (fee split) full-time employment with bi-weekly payouts. The practice offers a steady stream of referrals, marketing support, a supportive clinical environment, and administrative assistance with billing and scheduling. The ideal candidate is independent, driven, collaborative, and contributes to a positive practice culture.

Requirements

  • Fully licensed in the State of Florida
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health (PMHNP)
  • Current DEA and CPR certification
  • Active professional liability/malpractice insurance
  • Established physician/collaborator as required for their scope of practice
  • Willingness to be paneled with insurance companies
  • Current State of Florida license as a PMHNP
  • Proficient in Office products, Excel and Google documents, use of Electronic Medical Records
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with professional colleagues, as well as those providing administrative support

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 1-year post-independent licensure is a plus
  • Paneled with insurance a plus
  • Prior private practice experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Establish positive, trusting rapport with patients
  • Diagnose and treat mental health disorders
  • Create individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of patient progress
  • Maintain thorough records of patient meetings and progress
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain client confidentiality
  • Maintain proper licenses, certifications and follow professional guidelines, ethical standards
  • Contribute to practice by accomplishing related tasks as needed
  • Collaborate with Caring Therapists administrative staff and management to exceed best practices and grow our organization
  • Works with adults and children, ages 4-18
  • Willing to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends
  • Meet with patients regularly to provide counseling, evidenced-based treatment, and adjust treatment plans as necessary
  • Involve and advise family members when appropriate
  • Refer patients to outside specialists or agencies when necessary
