About The Position

Key Point Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for their OMHC program at the Dundalk Clinic in Baltimore, MD. This role primarily serves children but may assist with adult coverage. The position involves diagnosis, medication management, medical treatment for mental health needs, crisis intervention, and psychotherapy. The practitioner will coordinate with the treatment team, complete documentation in a timely manner, and adhere to agency, licensing board, and COMAR standards. The role also requires upholding the mission and policies of Key Point Health Services.

Requirements

  • Must be licensed in the State of Maryland as a CRNP-PMH
  • Must have a CDS/DEA license or eligible to obtain.
  • Must have experience in working with and the ability to relate to the populations to which they are credentialed to work (i.e., Children, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics, and Psychiatric).
  • Maintain Board Eligibility or Board Certifications and all applicable licensures.
  • Possesses minimum experience as required by the privileging process.
  • Possess knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses as defined by the American Psychiatric Association, routine and emergency evaluation and assessment, human development, individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy.
  • Demonstrate competency in procedures regarding medical treatment, medication management, laboratory tests, and other medical practices and procedures that are or may become relevant to the psychiatric needs of the patient population.
  • Demonstrate the ability to function on an interdisciplinary treatment team through excellent written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrate an understanding and sensitivity to serving a culturally diverse and/or special needs population while respecting patient confidentiality.
  • Adhere to the ethics of their respective profession.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnosis, medication management, and medical treatment as it relates to the patients’ mental health needs
  • Provide crisis intervention and individual, group and family psychotherapy to his/her caseload when necessary.
  • Coordinates with the treatment team on the implementation of appropriate treatment strategies for patients and patients’ families.
  • Timely completion of treatment documentation.
  • Adhere to standards and regulations as set forth by the agency, respective licensing board, and COMAR.
  • Abide by all safety rules and regulations of the department and facility.
  • Carry out the mission, philosophy of care, and policies of Key Point.
  • Perform other duties as needed to achieve program goals and objectives.
