About The Position

We are seeking both part-time and full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners to perform tele-psychiatric visits for clients based in Alaska. This role offers the flexibility and autonomy of private practice, working on a team with other advanced practice nurses. The company provides a competitive 1099 compensation model, a supportive work environment with mentorship and training, and the ability to build your own schedule within operating hours of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week. A minimum commitment of 16 hours per week is required.

Requirements

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
Active Alaska Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner License
ANCC Board Certification
2+ years of experience working in adult mental health
Strong assessment skills
Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Ambitious, client-centric work ethic
Must live in Alaska
Must have own computer and a quiet, professional space to take tele-psychiatry appointments
DEA Certification

Nice To Haves

Psychiatric Nursing: 2 years (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Conduct initial evaluations and collaboratively develop treatment plans with clients for medication, therapy, or a combination of both.
Proactively follow up with clients at minimum on a monthly basis to assess for efficacy of recommended interventions and ongoing care until treatment goals are achieved.
Provide various modalities of talk therapy, as clients strongly prefer combined medication and therapy appointments.
