About The Position

Clarvida is seeking a Part-Time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for its Oasis Program. This role involves performing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, assessments, diagnosis, medication management, and ongoing treatment for clients with mental disorders, all under the direction of a medical doctor. The position is part-time, up to 29 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited college or university with a master’s in nursing
  • Current Nurse Practitioner license from the Board of Registered Nursing in the practicing state

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial client assessment to include obtaining psychiatric and medical history, performing psychiatric assessment and overall health assessment for any presenting problem
  • Order necessary laboratory studies, monitor and follow-up on abnormal results
  • Provide prescriptions for psychiatric medications under the advice and direction of a medical doctor
  • Assess and evaluate responses to medications and monitor for potential side effects or adverse reactions
  • Consult with other members of the treatment team on clients’ treatment plans
  • Document using Anasazi Electronic Health Record, a complete assessment and plan including all medication changes on each client and all other mandatory documents as designated by Program Director
  • Obtain medication consents when appropriate
  • Participate in staff in-service and case presentation meetings
  • Consult with medical doctor regularly on treatment plans for clients
  • Perform duties as designated by ACT model treatment modality
  • Perform Home visits and off sites visit as required by the needs of the families and participants
  • Provide support and perform other duties as assigned or necessary
  • May provide direct supervision to any LPT or LVN’s on staff
  • Work under minimal supervision by Program Director and Staff Psychiatrist
  • Provide the best customer care possible, including reliability in working a flexible working schedule
