About The Position

Hartford HealthCare's Behavioral Health Network is seeking a Per Diem Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our growing team at St. Vincent's Behavioral Health in Westport, CT. St. Vincent's Behavioral Health is one of Connecticut's leading providers of inpatient psychiatric services. Our behavioral health service line includes: A 76-bed behavioral health hospital in Westport, Adult Psychiatry Dual Diagnosis Services, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, and a 16-bed Medical/Psychiatric Unit at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport. Together, these programs serve approximately 2,350 patients annually and play a vital role in meeting the behavioral health needs of communities throughout the region.

Requirements

• Master's degree or higher from an accredited Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current Connecticut APRN license or eligibility for Connecticut licensure.
• Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
• DEA and Connecticut Controlled Substance Registration, or eligibility to obtain.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience practicing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in an inpatient, outpatient, emergency psychiatry, or behavioral health setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and/or outpatient psychiatric care
• Collaborate with experienced psychiatrists, advanced practice providers, nurses, therapists, and support staff
